Let's start a petition to get the criminal record lifted!!! You have got to be bloody serious on this latest news, a poor father of four has been taken to court and fined all because his rubbish wheelie bin was overfilled by a mere four inches. The father's rubbish is only collected once every two weeks and yes Gareth Corkhill's bin by this time was overfilled in where the lid would not shut properly and because the lid did not shut he ended up with a criminal record.
The 26 year old bus driver was convicted by Magistrates after evidence was heard that the lid on the wheelie bin did not shut and was four inches ajar, which apparently is against the rules. The poor father was ordered to pay £210 which is a weeks wages to him after he said no to paying an on the spot fine which was imposed by the local council's bin police, they visited him wear stab proof vests whilst carrying photographic evidence of his crime.
To piss him off a little more Gareth Corkhill was told to pay a £15 victim surcharge to help victims of violence - despite there being no victim - and threatened with prison if he failed to pay.
